Welcome to my innermost thoughts...
As you may have noticed, I'm never at a loss for words. I grew up with a mother who is an artist, painter, and overall very talented woman. While I don't talk about my personal family very much, I grew up watching her take something from nothing, to creating a very beautiful and meaningful painting or poem.
I have always thought that someday I would like to express myself by writing down my thoughts and sharing them with others. So, I began many years ago writing articles of my feelings about my experiences thus far... which led to writing poetry.
All of my poems are written from my heart and soul. My inspiration has come from just listening to other individuals talk about what they love, experienced, or just considering an issue. Most times, my inspiration comes from a casual conversation... something that would make me stop and reflect on their comment. Other poems came from seeing something in life that had a deep profound effect on me.
But mostly my inspiration comes from my personal beliefs regarding what I read and learn from my Master's feet... God. There are so many great teachings and concepts in the words of Jesus and His disciples that have modern day applications to my life that I felt compelled to ponder on them for days or weeks. During these days, I would have intimate conversations with Marlene about what's on my mind to get her personal thoughts... "I love this about her!"
I pray that when you read my poetry, you will be helped in some way and be able to overcome your own struggles that you may face in your life's journey...
On final thought I would like to share with you: "The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you." Marlene came across this saying on the internet and we both love this concept.
